The Cannondale 2021 Scalpel SE 2Full Suspension Mountain Bike in Saber takes the race winning speed of the standard Cannondale Scalpel and adds more travel and trail ready equipment. The focus has been placed in reducing weight without sacrificing suspension, giving the new Scalpel a clear advantage with the most advanced suspension design ever created for an XC bike. It's 200 grams lighter than the previous version. The Scalpels geometry is improved by stretching out the reach, slackening the head tube by 2 degrees and making the seat angle steeper by a degree, overall a longer wheelbase and lower standover equate to a more aggressive geometry. What makes the Scalpel stand out from the pack is the suspension. Where a lot of competitors reduce the weight of their bike by reducing or making less sophisticated suspension Cannondale has solved the issue by using the patented flex pivot chainstay.
