2021 Cannondale CAADX 2 Road bike in Emerald is Cannondale's entry-level cyclocross bike. This performance cyclocross bike comes from a title-winning bloodline: Although designed as a cyclocross racer, it also makes a fast and fun gravel bike, winter trainer, versatile commuter and more.The frame on the Cannondale CAADX uses the SmartForm C2 Alloy Construction and tube shapes from Cannondale's super-light race bikes to keep it light and easy to shoulder. Cannondale's SAVE micro-suspension helps to smooth out the bumps by introducing flex points into the frame without the need for any moving parts.The geometry and handling on the CAADX is designed for fast handling, endurance and traction. Cannondale has used the same OutFront Steering Geometry as on their mountain bike range to make the frontend feel stable and agile perfect for technical cyclocross courses or potholed streets. Quick handling and agility are maintained thanks to short chainstays everywhere else. Big tyre clearance means you can run up to 37 mm Tyres to combat even the roughest gravel roads. As the CAADX is likely to end up being used for commuting duties Cannondale has fitted subtle rack mounts; a removable seat stay mudguard mount and hidden fork mudguard mounts to make it usable as an everyday run around.This bike is perfect forThe CAADX 2 is such a versatile bike it's hard to narrow down who it best suits.
