All the benefits, none of the hassle. The Silca Super Secret Chain Lube combines the speed and silent running of a hot-melt wax-dipper chain to a drip applied wax lubricant. The Secret Chain Lube also utilises the worlds fastest, most lubricious additive, nano-scale Tungsten Disulfide for maximum drive chain performance.The Super Secret Chain Lube started as a project to develop the fastest hot-melt wax lubricant in early 2019. Josh Poertner, CEO of Silca, has been recommending hot melt wax and helping pro cyclists and triathletes wax chains for years and he wanted to bring the performance advantages to Silca customers too.The project took a major turn from the world of IndyCar when Poertner was introduced to a group who had developed a technology to put micro-scale wax powders into quick drying solutions that form a coating that is indiscernible from hot melt dipping in crock pots.The combination of air-drying liquid wax and Tungsten Disulfide quickly proved to beat all currently available hot melt waxes in friction testing while being much faster to apply.The nano platelets of WS2 (Tungsten Disulfide) in the Super Secret Chain lubes has less than 1/3 the dynamic coefficient friction of PTFE and that of Molybdeum Disulfide (MoS2).The lube formula is also environmentally friendly, utilising 4 different types if wax and a mild alcohol to act as a carrier.Learn how to best apply the Silca Super Secret Lube.Key Features: Low friction lube that brings the same advantages as hot-melt wax-dipped chains ,with the convenience of drip applied lubricants,Highly lubricious Tungsten Disulfide additive,Environmentally friendly formula,The chain should be very clean before application,Leave chain to dry for at least 30 minutes before riding.
