The 2021 Orbea Alma M50 Hardtail Mountain Bike in Savage Green and Bright Red is a carbon frame XC race bike for riders who want the lightest bike with the best performance and for purists who dont want or need full suspension and other complexities.The Alma M50 is built around an Orbea Monocoque Race (OMR) fames which add high modulus and high strength fibres to a standard layup to improve stiffness-to-weight ratios. The medium size frame weights in at just 1.1KG. While the lower spine of the frame is designed to be super stiff for power transfer is instantaneous the top half of the frame the carbon has been moulded to save weight and add comfort. The natural flex patterns created by the carbon layup and minimal bulk of the top tube and seat stays deliver a dynamic, smooth ride that feels like floating over rough terrain. The sensation is subtle - but it is noticeable and can be tested.The Alma's World Cup Geometry is born from years of designing world class XC bikes. the position is aggressive, comfortable and fast.
