To give it the latest industry buzword the Epic Evo is a down country bike. It has all the speed of the pure XC racing Epic but has been beefed up to handle more fun trail riding.While the Epic EVO sees a seemingly modest 20-millimeter increase in suspension travel up front over its Epic stablemate and just 6-millimeters out back, Specialized worked overtime to make sure its been implemented in a way thatll have you saying Whoa! as soon as you hit your first stretch of singletrack. Meticulously engineered to retain as much of the Epics standard-setting efficiency as possible, the EVOs new suspension kinematics work in concert with Rx XC Tune customized suspension front and rear to ensure you're able to make the absolute most out of every inch of travel on tap, while still offering increased anti-squat characteristics for improved pedalling efficiency.The Epic EVO Comp is built around a FACT 11m carbon frame with a flip chip so you can adjust the geometry to suit your riding style. A Rockhox SID Select fork and a Rockshox Deluxe Select+ rear shock handle the suspension while 12 speed SRAM Eagle gearing, four-piston SRAM G2 RS brakes and an X-Fusion Manic dropper give a build thats ready to handle the downhills as well as the ups.This bike is perfect forRiders who want the speed and responsive handling of a pure XC thoroughbred but want to be able to handle the toughest trail centres and natural trails as well.
