The K-Edge chain catcher has been a popular piece of kit since the very first time it was used in the 2008 Olympic Games by Kristin Armstrong. The chain catcher was designed to keep the chain in place, improve shifting performance and protect the frame from damage caused by a derailed chain. The original chain catcher was introduced to the Pro peloton in 2009 and ever since then it has been a permanent fixture on many bikes in some of teh worlds biggest races. This new and updated Pro model does the same job as the original model but is easier to fit and allows for independent adjustment of the front mech and chain catcher.This model is compatible with double chainring Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM derailleurs and comes complete with all mounting hardware and fits onto braze-on frame mounts. Made from 6061 T6 heat treated aluminium with a long-lasting protective anodised finish that only weights 15 grams. K-Edge products are proudly CNC machined in the USA and have a lifetime warranty.
